Default 1963 swc

Hi Syd,
On the Minneapolis Craigslist is a 1963 SWC saddle exterior with saddle interior. Its a 340 with a 4 speed. Looks real nice. The serial number is 30837S111628. That's all I know the car is currently for sale.

I have Saddle/Saddle #11,628 recorded in my file as shown.
I also have #11,627 listed as a Saddle/Saddle Roadster...nice pair!

Thanks jackson!

Syd, saw this sweet lil DB 327/250 car with AC and PG at Barrett-Jackson today. They had it roped off, so no serial number.

Ha there's a nice one! By chance does it have back up lamps?
Wish I was there with you to see as I'm sure everyone else does.

Just there for today, so won't get a chance to check. It's going across the block Saturday, maybe you can check the website. There were probably half a dozen splits there, just as many 63 verts as well. Didnt see any saddle.

No dogs in this kennel!

I thought it was weird that a previous owner shaved the door handles but not the side mirror. Thanks for taking care of that, either way I think you have a really nice car, the blue was a good choice!

If you want to tone it down, AIR you can get large diameter polished aluminum wheels that look like original C2 hubcaps, just choose a year.

Hi Deb,
Nice custom split you guys have! I have many modified cars recorded in my file.
Would you mind telling me what your serial number and trim tag data is please?

Thanks!

Including some 63's that were recorded prior to me and some cars recorded by others, and also including some that were wrecked or stolen etc. over the yrs, I've listed over 3,100 cars in my '63 file.
Of the approximate 3,100 '63 total, 1770 are split windows.

I'd guess that a good number survive, at the very least double that figure and most probably quite a bit higher.

I would love to hear from '63 owners who would contribute to this file.

I purchased the Black/Saddle 250hp 3.08 SWC S120802 in 1973 when I was 16. After the wreck, I purchased the SWC Sebring/Black 340hp 4.11 with tinted windows S114880 which I still have. I still have the engine FO723RC and rear from 20802 in mothballs. Would love to get this engine back home.

Don't think my 63 roadster is in the count, i am a new member to the forum. Originally a southern car, is white over red with black top. I have owned for over 30 years. Sounds like mine is in the minority now!

I love this one!

I thought side pipes were not an option in `63? The knockoffs too?

No sidepipes in '63. Reportedly no knockoffs from the factory, but sold over the counter.

Hey Syd, do you have 102187 in your list, SWC red on black, it's in my garage for an engine swap and engine compartment dress up. owner is sure it was a 340hp car but had a 350 in it when he bought it. We do not have the original engine but are building a period correct 327 to go back in.

Default Engine Number / Vin Number Stamp on a '63 SW

Can someone tell me or send me a picture of where to find the Engine Number / Vin Number Stamp on a '63 SW? It is an original SW and we have been asked to send a picture of the Engine Number/Vin Number where it is stamped on the engine block and can't seem to find it.
