I have noted when some cars were recorded with their split window removed. A small handful at best, probably about 5-10 cars to date I'd say. I think I remember one car that I listed without it's split window that later reappeared with it's split back in place so I'm sure the same can be said about quite a few others as more and more get restored before I happen to come across them.

Syd; Do you have me in the database?
I have a 63SW #30837 S117796.
Body 9065
Paint 936A
Trim 490M
I've owned the Vette since 1976 and believe it was purchased new in Bishop, CA. It is now a Porsche Talbot Yellow and is a numbers matching 340hp, 4 speed with Saddle interior. I'm not sure how to send pic's on the forum.
Thanks
Terry

Nice shot of your original paint '63! I haven't seen many with that claim.
I did not have your coupe #7,368 in my file. I'm guessing that it's a 4 speed? Does it have any power options?
The closest car to yours that I have recorded is #7,366, a Blue/Blue 300 4spd coupe that was modified and a project when listed with Body #4,028
Thanks!

Yes I have your '63 listed in my database as you describe, a White/Saddle 340 4spd Coupe, body #9,065.
I did not have a note that it was now painted Yellow.
I think your trim code is 490 N (not M) ?
Thanks Terry!

Thanks.
Yes, it has the original 4 spd. trans. It's a 327/360 FI car - no power options.

Just found out that my '63, which I mentioned on here several months back, DOES still exist, or at least did exist in 2002. It's 30867S119803, and it was titled in Illinois August 5, 2002. You may update your records accordingly.
Here's the thread I started on this:

Can you please confirm it's original colors for me. Is it Silver Blue/Blue?
Was it a 340 hp 4spd??
Thanks!

At the time I owned that I had absolutely no clue what a trim tag was, so I am no help on what it was originally.

Several in Charlotte, NC
I know there are several in Charlotte, NC but have no idea of their serial numbers. The one I have seen look like they are right off the showroom floor, but with some interior upgrades.

Syd, car was - as far as I recall - a 340, and I am sure it was a 4 speed. Had a higher red line and I think it had a Holley carb. It was ratty primer when I got it, I stripped it down and gave it a rather crappy Sunfire Yellow paint job, my first attempt at doing that work.

I hope it turns up again soon!

As of today I have info listed in one form or the other on 2,212 Coupes and 1,726 Convertibles.
I have your '63 #15,884 listed as a Blue/Blue NOM Coupe, Body #8,279. Glad to see she's being taken care of!
Interestingly, I also have another Coupe on my list with the same vin. It was listed as a Silver/Red 300 4spd Coupe with PS. I didn't record it's body number so I must have seen it a while back.
There are quite a few cars with multiple listings throughout my file. For most cases it's most likely an error in communication of the correct serial number. By chance, was your car ever Silver?
Hope you will post some resto pix
Thanks Rod!

I appreciate your reply and info. Unfortunately the history I have on the car is very limited.
The Body tag reads:
STYLE 63 837 8279 BODY
TRIM 490J 916A PAINT
By all impressions it does appear to have been Blue/Blue before it was stored outside (supposedly in KY) for many many years to rust away. Due to the massive rebuild efforts and not having any drivetrain components it will be updated with a modern drivetrain, custom chassis, electronics, etc. but still retain the original look of the '63 interior and exterior. I know some C2 owners frown on this type of restoration but it will be a great looking car when finished. It will be on display at the National Corvette Museum when completed in the Spring of '16 as SPECVETTE #002. I'll be sure to post pictures along the way.
Thanks,
Rod

The '63 I have listed to date that is closest to yours is #16.449, said to be an Ermine White/Black 300hp 4spd Coupe.
I have yours listed as described. What is your cars Body number?
32 yrs is fantastic! I've had my old Saddle Coupe for 23 or so.
