Thanks again Tim!

What are it's original colors and transmission type? Any power options?
Does your dad know what it's original hp was? Also, could you please tell me it's Body number.

Thanks Slider!
Syd
I'll have to check the body number when I get the car later this year. It is a 4 speed, and we think it was a 250HP engine originally. It was dark blue when Dad got it - but I have no idea if that was the stock color.

Please check back in when your get your '63 SliderR1. You'll find out the original colors by checking out your trim tag and will also see what your tach red line is.

Thanks again!

Body number is 6368.
Do you have the link to where this info is being compiled?

Hi Billy,
Sorry but there isn't a direct link. I've been compiling the research list in my personal files and since new cars keep appearing to add I have yet to start the long task of auditing all the notations for each entry so that anyone who looked at it would be able to understand all the meanings.

Thanks again!!

Hi Dom,
I had your Red/Red Coupe #16,075 listed in my '63 file showing an NOM 300 4spd along with it's Body number.
I hope this is correct?

Thanks Dom!

Original Color - 912A - Medium Blue
Body # - 3922
Trim - BLK
ECL - F2

I forgot to look at the tach last night when Dad dropped the car off - I'll report back on that later. From some quick research online last night -it appears the block is a 2 bolt main 327 out of a 1969 full size car. Dad checked the heads a while back and thinks they are the original heads - from his research he guessed that someone switched out the short block at some point in its life. He still has the original carb and air cleaner as well.

My 63 vert is number 9543, and I think it is just a base model. How do I find out for sure?

Hi Randy,
I did not have your '63 #9,543 recorded. Could you please tell me what it's original colors are? Is it a 4spd car? Does it have power brakes or windows? Could you also please tell me your Body number.

When you ask about your car being a base model I take it that you want to find out it's horsepower? Start by checking if your engine block has casting number 3782870. Then take a close look at your engine stamp pad and see what it tells you. If you still have your original gauges, what is your tach redline?

I know it is not the original engine. No power anything with a 4 speed. The body number is the last six of the vin, right?

Hi Randy,
Your body number is shown in your picture, #9,543 which I thought to be your '63 serial number from your previous post.
What is your cars serial number?

Your trim tag pictured shows that your Roadster was originally Saddle Tan/Saddle vinyl which is a pretty rare color! What is the red line of your tach? Also, what color is your soft top if it has one?

Syd,
Sorry for any confusion. My 63's vin ends in 118978. The soft top is white and I will have to check the tach when I go out the garage again. Car is currently painted Porshe Canyon Red and has altered quarter panels.
Thanks
Randy

Default Split window hardtop for convertible

I don't know how many of you watch "Fantom Works"
on the Velocity channel, but on one show they show making a custom split window removable hardtop for a guy that had a 63 convertible. Looked great.
