How often do you wash your car with soap and water?
She was inside covered all winter. I removed the car cover and used a California car duster and then sprayed on and wiped off some finish fast and I am on the road. Any need for soap and water now or later if I just repeat after every drive the use of the duster and spray on?

I wash mine about once very couple of months or so....
I don't see how you can drive them much and NOT wash them at some point...

My '65 is a driver and gets an occasional wipe down with hot water, using the two bucket system. Takes care of tree sap and light build-up around the wheel wells and rockers.

I avoid washing it as much as I can. I am really picky about paint, but fortunately my paint job is about 12 years old and already has plenty of towel scratches and rock chips so i don't worry about scratching it. I worry more about putting water on the car frequently and it getting onto areas of the birdcage that don't dry out easily. When I wash it, I usually wash only from the cowl down and take care of the windshield with Windex or the like.

Mine get washed 1-3 times a year after some serious road time/distance. Spray detailer used in between and maybe one wax job. Dennis

I agree!!!!!! I wash mine after every trip. Sometimes I will even use soap. But I only use dish soap that is non abrasive, like Dawn. Works for me and I own a black car.

If I just drive to a local car show or hangout it doesn't really need washing. It always gets washed after a trip of 300 miles or more. Living in Las Vegas where there is hardly ever any humidity keeps all vehicles rust free.

Sounds like these cars are not being driven much ! You have to wash your car eventually. I just tried the hoseless or rinseless 2 bucket system and I was impressed. Worth a look at you can do it in your garage while watching TV and not getting wet socks ! Stewy
