Default Cleaning Chrome Headers - suggestions

Hey Guys & Gals,

So, we established long ago in CF threads that Hooker Headers are no longer made in the USA and the quality is not what they used to be. And, considering what they cost, should fit like a glove but they don't, without some modifications.

But alas, I have ceramic coated Chrome Hooker Headers and Chrome Hooker Side Pipes on our '66. So, how do you clean your chrome headers if you have them on your ride. I'm hoping you have some secret solution that works to remove the blue discoloration and restores the nice shiny chrome finish without damaging or scratching the chrome finish. Any ideas? Chrome polish?

Kevin

Passenger side is discolored much more than the driver's side

This stuff really works. My 57 T-Bird has chrome header pipes and I cleaned them with this material. Look almost like new.

There is also a product called "Blu-Away" (not sure how it is spelled) that you can get at a local motorcycle shop. The stuff is amazing.

Thanks Guys,

I knew someone else out there must have had the same issue keeping chrome pipes looking like chrome. I can't be the only one foolish enough to buy chrome pipes.

Car Shows are just around the corner so thanks very much for the tips and suggestions. I'll give them both a try.

Kevin
