Default Keels and Wheels 2011 - Lots of Pics

Greetings,
Today I attended the 16th annual Keels and Wheels Boat and Car show in Seabrook Texas. http://www.keels-wheels.com/

Consisting of a Concours D' Elegance for high end cars and boats, plus an auction, this show is one I consider to be the "Pebble Beach of the South".

After visiting with forum members DeeJayDu and Rayvaflav, I worked my way though the show photographing anything I saw. As with my Cars and Coffee photos, I wasn't trying to make art here, just trying to photograph as much as I could.

A full slideshow of about 150 photos is here
http://s278.photobucket.com/albums/k...view=slideshow

A sampling follows:

Forum member DeeJayDu's 1936 Warner Brothers sound truck, one of two left and the only one restored.

Here's the other WB truck.

Forum member Capt Roy's beautiful midyear.

This year celebrated 100 years of Indy

Boat pic #3 is identical to the boat I learned how to water ski behind at age 4. On Possum Kingdom Lake north of Dallas.

A Century Coronado with sliding hardtop. It was my Grandfathers and it had red leather interior.

Looks to be 3 or 4 in that pic. One of them might be his old one. They didin't make very many. I heard his ended up in Houston.

Very cool!!

That pic is VERY close. Great name on that Coronado.

I haven't seen it since I was 10. So memory on the paint scheme is foggy.

We met briefly, we parted ways to go see the cars, and then I never saw him again.

Personally, I think he was probably busy admiring this:
