Some progress on the '66
Finally learning how to post pics on here, (I think). This is a few pics of my 66 I've been working on for a while. I'm attempting a restomod, but have a long way to go. Sorry about the quality, came off my iphone which I didn't hold to still.

Nice progress.
I have the twin to your car, MM/black '66
Tell me more about your approach to the mods. Sorry if I missed previous posts. Looks like a stock looking frame with rack steering, upgraded brakes and suspension pieces? Any particular vendors/packages that you purchased from? Rear suspension hardware looks interesting. Front transverse spring?
I would ike to get into this for my '66 some day. Actually I would love to do the whole tube frame route but this looks like it is much more forgiving on the wallet and might even be able to convert back to stock if the future markets dictate that.
I'm interested in the progress. Keep posting!

My approach has been the standard story of project creep--you start off to change spark plugs and end up with a frame off restomod project. Oh well, it's what I enjoy doing. Yes, the front is the VBP monospring, steeroids rack, VBP A arms and 1 1/8" bar. The rear is the stock diff with a Drag Vette setup and offset T arms. The frame is stock except rewelded and several gussets added. I've done the work myself, although I'm no professional by any means. I would have liked to go the tube frame, but the $ up front for it was too much, so I piece-mealed this together a little at a time.

Well, I purchased a keisler 5 speed kit a couple of years ago to go in it, (bye bye warranty), which came with a new bell housing, flywheel & 11" clutch. The diff ratio is 3.07, so I'll be looking good on the highway, but still be able to pull out in city traffic OK, even with a good cam. The mill is being built by my uncle in Oklahoma, who builds circle track racing engines. It is a 505 bbc with aluminum heads, roller cam, and a few extra goodies, but nothing too radical as I want it to have good street manners.

Charles, the car is looking good. Those pics aren't that bad. It does look much better in person guys, very cleean and very detailed chassis. I'll try and stop by Saturday morning and we can catch up on things. Keep at it, you will catch up with me soon enough, as I have not had time to do a thing with the 65 FI for a few weeks, too much other stuff like work and family stuff getting in the way.
