Rubc555,

Before going to all the trouble of rebuilding the pump let me ask you this:

Do you hear a clicking sound when you turn on the wipers and push the button?

If so, does the clicking last for 5-10 seconds then stop?

If yes to both questions, the pump may be working but, just needs to be primed and/or new hoses.

My pump was way down my "to do" list as well so, I didn't mess with it for a few years. When I'd finally gotten around to it I replaced the hoses then, using a syringe, I primed it and, voilą it worked!

Sure was a lot easier than rebuilding the pump.

Gary. I didn't know that hmmm..I took it apart diaphragm Looked good hoses were hard.
Never payed much to the noise it made ,.. did see the pump motor was going in and out.
Problem is the photo I took before I tore in to the pump didn't come out so I'm not
100% SURE that I got the housing back togeather in the same alinement it was where the 3 hoses hook up. I put it back togeather before I got the kit in a hurry,
Got the kit so what the hell whats the trick to popping the old diaphragm off ?

Sorry, as I said earlier I didn't need to disassemble the pump. Perhaps someone else may have a diagram or photo they will post.

Do you own an AIM (Assembly instruction manual)? If not, you really need one along with one or two more manuals. That one and a chassis manual would be a good start.

In the mean time, you may want to check the archives or open another thread on the subject.

Good luck.

Gary

I'd ask on here. As many people as there have been replacing wiring harnesses, I would think someone could send you one. Maybe even in C2 parts wanted forum.

Or Volunteer Vette in Knoxville
