1967 Hurst competition plus shifter shakes under load
dear corvette experts...
I have reviewed similar posts in archives but mostly refer to Muncie shifter. After a recent engine rebuild, I have noted shifter vibration under load. It is clearly not the transverse reverse gear lever on the stick. The car is 'baby blue', my 1967 327/300 (now plus) trophy blue convertible with M20 muncie transmission and Hurst competition plus shifter. What is the differential diagnosis of shifter vibration under load.
PS my first car lift to be delivered next week. rich weddle

Since the engine and trans have just been re-mated to one another, check the u-joints and make sure the caps are seated correctly. Dennis

Make sure all your spark plug wires are on.
Need a better definition. Is your vibration a "shake" or a "buzz"? Or what?

my 'shifter shake' is a rapid low amplitude vibration, I suppose one could call it a 'buzz', it occurs during higher RPM with acceleration, more prominent in the lower gears. Rich weddle
