I have a 1974 Hurst/Olds W30 with Joe Jacobs Chevorlet dealer stickers on the underside of the trunk lid. I'm pretty certain the car came from there. Only 380 of these cars were ever made. Would love to know more about the dealership, although it's gone. I did track down Rob Mancuso and did an inquiry on my Olds. He didn't have any further information on it, but did confirm that the dealership is no longer there. I believe it's a Jewel now.

I worked at Joe Jacobs Chevrolet from January, 1971 to approx 1980. I started out working service in used cars and doing all of the Vega issues, head gaskets, exhaust recalls, etc. Ended up working with Bob Hedberg doing all Corvette work after Ken Hansen left. Jim Incledon was the service manager. Chuck Trom and Mark _____ worked servicing new cars and moved to Colorado. Greg Kennedy worked in new car prep then went to work for Greyhound Bus as a driver. I pretty much remember all the techs and some of the sales guys. Some of the parts guys too. Don Batt

Realize this is an ancient thread, but my cousins are coming over for the 4th and they all grew up in Wilmette in the 1970s. I will ask what they might remember!
