Yeah, it's a beauty. Can't believe I got it for $8,000, but they REALLY needed the garage space!

Just once I wish it were a really nice old barn, on a few acres, that I could restomod into some stylish diggs.

Now you know it was on 58th street!! Not 59th, there are no barns on 59th.

I know its not a barn, but I first saw my 66 427 390 AC coupe with POP and original motor in a open garage while driving though a neigborhood in Seabrook Tx. Days before, flood waters from hurricane Ike had crept up 3” on the tires. I nagged the guy with phone calls and emails for almost 3 years before he sold it to me. At the time I really didnt care if it was a big block or not. I just really like the car. I am now doing a full restoration on the car. Mark

Purchased a home back in 2000. Previous owner was a packrat. Agreed to purchase home "as is" with contents of the garage. Last moved in 1978.

Currently for sale.

Do you see it?

There it is. It's a 1966 roadster.

Top Notch, did you know it was in there (which must have helped the sale) or discover it after you had bought the place (which would have boggled your mind)?

Well....It was 1988 and I knew virtually nothing about Corvettes. My 67 427/435 one-of-a-kind (per Noland Adams) ex-Southern California Corvette Club class A racer wasn't in a barn when I stumbled across it. It had been pulled out of the barn, a corn crib in Central Iowa to be precise (because they painted the crib) and it was setting under the tree outside it for at least 5 years. I had no idea what model year it was at the time I bought it. The interior and allot of parts were in the owner's basement. Thinking of putting it back together as a vintage race car, I paid $750 for it, Yes you read correctly, $750. That was what I though it was worth at the time! It was the original block with perfect stamp pad, clean frame with shim marks, inspection paint, and stencil all there. The body had been chopped up for racing, fenders flared straight out 8 inches, windshield cut off at the body, roll bar cut in, etc. I owned it for 2 years when I traded it to Pro Team for the 65 396 I now have, plus they gave me knockoffs, a hardtop, delivered, and $10,000 cash. At the time of the trade, I had a total of $906 in the car including the original $750 and 5 bucks at the car wash to blow the rotten leaves out of it.
And yes, somewhere in a box, I have all the pictures and paperwork including the writeup Noland did about the quirk in the engine stamp pad (an I where a 1 should have been).
