Horn Relay
Dumb question regarding the horn relay on my 62. My horns do not work. I have constant power to the #2 (middle terminal) on the horn relay, and low power on the #3 terminal (to the horns). What is the function of the tan wire on the #1 terminal coming from the horn button? If it supplies the power to activate the horn relay, what is its source of power? Thanks in advance.

Horn relays normally have one power line. It supplies the winding in the horn relay and the contact that provides power to the horn(s). When you ground the other end of the winding via the horn button, the winding's magnetic field pulls the contact for power to the horn closed. Only three wires are needed: power, ground (to the horn button), line to the horns.
