Default [OT]That was bloody awesome!

Just experienced my first earthquake!

That isn't supposed to happen in South Jersey.

Rock n roll for about 20 seconds..........I want to move to CA.

Now to go see if my garage is still standing.

Growing up near where Jack lives I never felt an earthquake. One thanksgiving in 1990's there was one in Redding which everyone felt. My dad and I thought the dam broke since it was coming from the direction of the dam. We both thought for a second this was it since my parents lives right in its path. Come to find out it was just an earthquake.

The funny part was my mom. Anyone seen george castanza when he knocks down the kids in the apartment when there was supposely a fire? Well, that was my mom knocking everyone down to get the heck out of the house.

Same here just felt one in Western NC for the first time in my life. News says it was centered near Mineral, Virginia. Not too much of a tremor but a lot when you have never been in one. I had driven the Vette back to work while at lunch and thought someone must have cranked it up outside

It was my first also and I did not like the feeling!
I was standing in my store and the shelves filled with auto parts started to move back and forth.
I rushed outside not knowing what to expect.
You guys on the West coast can have them.

I thought it was something local.

I didn't realize it was part of something bigger out of Virginia.

Hope everyone down there is O.K.

Default The earth moved for me too!

I'm about 100 miles from the quake and it was pretty "interesting" here in southeast Va. I was sitting at my desk and at first thought a big truck was passing the building. After a few seconds I though sh*t, that must be one BIG truck! The folks in the plant said the the light fixtures were swinging from the ceiling. That was enought for me!!!!!!

I was in a basement doing some trim work. I felt the concrete start to move then the whole house shaking. It was an experience, but I really don't care to have another one. Shemp

I know someone who lives 10 miles from the epicenter. She's OK and her house is fine but she has lots of damage to the house contents.

Didn’t feel A thing down here in Miami… However we’re all busy watching the NOAA reports on Irene.

I think the earth is trying to tell us something.

You guys in the Carolinas and Virginia better keep a heads up. …Stay safe

Haha, I had the same feeling up in North Jersey. Felt the table and the chair moving, first thought that came to my mind was "Am I getting sick?"
