Need to rent or borrow a rebound rivet tool for a 58. Hopefully borrow..

i can understand the desire for 'originality', but nuts/bolts/washers are a whole lot easier and easier to remove if the straps have to be removed at some later date.

I likewise used bolts,plus dyed the straps burgandy to contrast with with the color of my car.

A little off topic but what the heck is going on with your leaf spring perches holding the U-bolts ??? Are those plexiglass covers ?? Or what ?

looks like chromed traction bar plate to me...

That's what they are.It's made that way so you can keep your sway bars.
Lots of fun changing leaf springs.The picture is from over a year ago.Now it has the stainless Magnaflows,new 5-leafs and air shocks.
