Cascade Green Corvettes 56-57 and 60??
Hello
I have noticed there are two "Greens" one a blue is more like it, the 56?-57?? (when did they stop this blue hue?)
and the Green Cascade Green? which is a light green. a 1960?(what about 59?61 62??) I noted Danbury Mint made a 60' "Cascade Green".
Can someone shine light on this please?
Jose

Thanks
Does anyone have the Book by PIL(Publications International,2010):
Corvette Yesterday and Today? The Car on page 17,looks like a silver-ish Green. ..I got this book at Borders awhile back.
I actually Prefer the 1960 "Green" Cascade Green over the 1956-57 Cascade "Green" blue.
And in the book "Corvette:Yesterday & Today" not to be confused with Gerald "Jerry"Burton's Corvette,Yesterday,Today and Tomorrow.
there is a Picture of a 1960 Cascade Green Corvette.
Corvette Yesterday & Today:

Here's a 1957 Cascade Green. To me it, at least in the photo, it doesn't look bluish:

The 60 color is more than a different tint, it is a completely different color, and it is metallic to boot! The color was the rarest color in 60, but I think is a truly elegant color. It is a highly metallic pale green paint. If I recall correctly, there were only about 140 cars painted that color in 60.

Here is a pic of a 60 in Cascade Green. It is a stunning color that you have to see in person to truly appreciate.

Thank you that is the exact Cascade Green I was Referring to, the 60'. It is very Beautiful and I'd prefer to the other so-called Cascade Green. I know it's heresy. So I take it "Cascade green" in any tone after 56,57 Corvette and 60 Corvette have ceased to exist EXCEPT Kerbeck's One-off?
That Exact same Cascade Green With License Plate EXTACY 60 Is in Corvette Yesterday & Today 2010,Publications International Ltd(PIL) not to be confused with Corvette:Yesterday,Today and Tomorrow(2006,2008 red cover and 2008 updated w/2010 with Silver 59' Stingray Racer on Cover by Gerald Burton "Jerry Burton" Great Book)
I wonder what other books is that 60' Cascade Green Featured in or one like it?

A very good friend of mine owns the "EXTACY 60" cascade green car. He now lives in the Albuquerque, NM area. He also recently purchased a '57 Cascade Green to show side-by-side at certain shows. He got tired of answering peoples questions about the differences in Cascade Greens.
BTW- Extacy 60 is also a fuelie.

There are 4 photographs of EXTCY 60 on page 37 of Corvette Classics which was published in 2008.
One photo is a 1/2-page front quarter shot with the top up. Then there's a smaller rear passenger side quarter shot with the top down, a close up of the cove area, and a close up of the shifter/radio/clock area.
Address:
Publications International, Ltd.

Lincolnwood, IL 60712
I bought my copy a couple of years ago at the Test Track bookstore at Disney World.

The '60 in Corvette: A Piece of the Action on pp 52-53 may be cascade green (could be silver; someone else have the book?). It's a Texas fuelie. It's a big book and the car takes up 2 pages.

BTW, for anyone looking for nice hardback "coffee table" type books showing Corvettes and telling the story of their evolution (design, racing, major figures in their development, etc.), ebay is a great source. I've bought a dozen of these books for as little as $2 each. Didn't pay more than $10 for any of them. All are in great condition and most still have their dust jackets. Some of these books have original prices as high as $50. "Corvette: A Piece of the Action" is marked $19.95 on the dust jacket. I think I paid $4 for it.
