64 Fuse Panel Clarification, Please.
I have an early 64 AC Coupe (October 63). Getting ready to head out and pick up spare fuses. Checking the 64 owners manual, it states 20 amp fuse for the Courtesy Lights. Checking the fuse box, it is marked 15 amp for the Courtesy Lights.
1. Would this be a left-over 63 panel which they put into early 64's?
2. What fuse should I then use for the Courtesy Lights? (20 amp as called for in the manual or 15 amp as marked on the box?
Don't want to split hairs, but I am curious about the discrepancy and what fuse to use. Any idea why they would change the amperage?
Thanks

I have a new harness in my '64 (late Oct early Nov), #105660 and just went out and looked - mine is a 15A circut for the courtesy lights.

I just looked at the fuse panel on my original (#104347, built November 5, 1963) harness and it calls for 15 amp fuse for courtesy/stop lights.

Thanks GreaseMonkey and Dave64. At least I know someone didn't swap out the fuse panel. I am curious as to what amp fuse the late 64 and 65-67 fuse panels require for the courtesy lights.

I recently replaced the clock movement in my late February '65 convertible and popped the fuse when I put it back in the dash. The clock is the same circuit as the courtesy lights (bottom left). The old fuse was 20 amps, but the fuse box called for a 15 amp fuse. I installed a new 15 amp fuse and everything is working fine.
