Default What to use to clean the inside of the rear differential?

I have a 65 with posi rearend. I have the differential mounted on an engine stand to inspect , clean and paint. I didn't have any problems with this so I don't plan on tearing into it. I would like to clean it and inspect the inside. What can I pour in or spray into it to clean out the oil for better inspection?
Thanks Brian

I can't find Varsol. Can I use something else or should I just use some diesel fuel?
Thanks
