C2 of the Year Finalist - Modified 2020
The shifter looks like a '68. The tach is low HP, and the pedals are incorrect. Obviously a built car. Dennis

That's about the seventh time that car has been listed on eBay, and it's not even a good clone. Lots of little stuff is incorrect, not to mention the wrong radiator, wrong valve covers, road draft tube missing, C3 shifter, no pad or trim tag photos, front of the stinger stripe done wrong, etc.

...looks like small block half shafts as well. Isn't that the newer Hurst bolt on look-a-like shift handle? They look so out of place being that long!
Some nice toys in that showroom though.

The dealer in Clearwater hs been around for a long time. Lots of cars run through there. Old name was Corvettes & Classics, I believe. Most of the cars are driver quality or ones like this bogus L88.

the computer generated female voice aka Goldie, is kinda freaky in a wierd sort of way. If "she" makes claimes about the cars description that are later proven to be untrue, who do you take to court.
Goldie's boyfriend "Chip"
ha ha, get it.. haha, chip... computer generated... Goldie... boy friend..Chip..
shutting up now......
the back ground behind the car sure makes it very hard to evaluate the paint with all the reflection. You have to look hard to distiguish the scratches from the background reflection and I think there is some fiddling with photoshop software on some of the pictures to give the car more shine
wonder if thats intentional. Its a dealer? ...but...na! thier all so honest, it couldn't be.
Ebay 101 advises against that very thing yet here's a proffessional in the business making that very elementary mistake. or is it a mistake? who would go to soooo much trouble to generate imigages, select the best ones, doctor them up to present a car in the bestpossible light but not notice the effect the back ground has on the very object your trying to photograph.
if you look in one of the photo's, the reflection of the photographer has what appears to be a pretty nice camera, why all the technological capability for such an end result.
I know!
maybe its just that my dealer axe needs grinding

Reflections are from large overhead flourescent lights. In some interior photos, it looks like they killed some building lights to make the interior lights and cameras flash work better, but could not do anything about the buildings large windows which caused the window area in the car to over expose. Don't think it was done with photoshop.

Since the top half of the brake system is wrong, I imagine the bottom half is wrong, but the pictures are so poor and grainy, you can't really tell. Looks like a lot of pieces missing, like the splash pans in front of the footwells. No one mentioned the power steering, the radio, or the heater.
What can you say, it is a car like many would build once upon a time - lots of horses and cheaper than a real one.

Painted underbody, repro valve covers, wrong plug wires, shielding, etc. I would be suspicious if the motor is as authentic as advertised. And how they messed up the front of the stinger after the work and expense they put into the car is a mystery.
But - possibly a fun car. I think the auction is about as close to a realistic price as it should get - don't even know for sure it was originally a BB car.

Hard to see but looks like a 300 horse tach. If you're going to clone an L-88 you should at least get the tach correct. Car might be alot of fun to drive for the right price.

We all have our weird little quirks, I admit I have mine. The VERY FIRST thing I looked for (and of course, John Z beat me to it) was the road draft tube---------------------missing. That's all it took for me to loose interest. I didn't bother to look at it any further.

You guys aren't reading the description !
"Full Professional Frame-Off Restoration".
Gold center caps...really ? Must be the "Bandit 1" option.
