talked with ray last week and the re hab is going as well as expected, right hand is coming along fine, left hand will be a little more challenging.
anyway, his spirits are amazing and he is even more witty than before the mis-hap....also he has all the support he needs from his employer....
he is still doing his fundraiser, getting his head shaved.....here is the link for anyone interested...

Well hello there fellow Corvettiers (that's meant to include my friends Canadian), thanks for the concern. Let me first thank to all who called and contacted me and second, let me advise you that I am actually typing this message with both of my hands.
After the bizzare pneumatic mishap at work (at the end of January) the surgeon splinted my right hand hoping that would fuse back what was a fairly clean break and I am guessing that I have 75% of that hand (my shifter hand) operating as before . My left hand (my steering and windshield wiper switch hand) did not fare as well. Several finger bones were shattered (Sha-Doobie !) and needed to undergo surgery and have pins inserted. I currently have about 25% of the left hand operable so altogether, I am about half of the average man.
It appears as though I may be progressing at a better rate that both myself and my medical team had predicted, I am scheduled to meet with the surgeon tomorrow and get his thoughts. I am praying that I get the medical release to drive and to get back to work as staying at home is not all that it's cracked up to be (don't let the schizophrenics and billionaire recluses tell you otherwise) but in the meantine I have given myself the medical release to twist open a Belgian White Ale and work an iPhone to swipe the Willcox/Zip/Corvette Central "send" button.

Here's a picture of Ray growing up in Oklahoma. He was weird and twisted even then!......
