Default Flush out old brake fluid

I am putting on new brake calipers with sillicone fluid, and need to flush out the old Dot from the lines and the master cylinder, what is the best way to do this?

use denatured alcohol. fill the M/C with it and bleed to the calipers until all you get is the denatured alcohol. then flush it all back out and fill with new fluid

I am doing the same thing right now. I attempted to flush everything with de-natured alchohol but could not get the right front to come out pure Dot 5. I decided to remove the calipers and the front crossover line. According to Vette Brakes & Products tech "Gary" he states that Dot 3 and Dot 5 can exist in the same environment as long as they are not mixed 50/50. So, if you have a little Dot 3, according to him, you should be able to bleed your brakes and have them work correctly as they normally would.

Don't know if I agree but I am not taking any chances. I flushed out the crossover line while I have it off and now I purchased re-built calipers from VB & P and will install them on the front. I had one that was leaking, I am not sure where the leak was so I just replaced iboth front units.

After alcohol flush, I blow out the lines with compressed air and repeat.

Exactly right. You do NOT wanna leave any alcohol in there to react with the new DOT 5 fluid.
