It must be because of Noland's signature documenting that the body number and model year (1967) match.............. or, maybe the bidders have just watched one too many episodes of Barrett - Jackson!

I too have been watching this bid. I actually like non-stock cars with flared fenders (call me weird!). I think the -1967 body number thing is pretty cool and having Noland sign the glove box is neat.
This owner must have spent a fortune on the size of this Ebay ad.
I'm just guessing, but I bet he thinks this thing is "Solid Gold".
(Remember the guy with the $600K 67 Coupe????)
I'm sure the "reserve" is sky high. We'll know it a another day or so.
Too much BJ and Mecum viewing----

Don't trust an Ebay auto seller anymore than you would a used car lot.

I am not sure if it was mentioned in the ad as I can only read text in a consistent font size and color, but the VIN contains the year it was made. This is especially handy when trying to remember your VIN at the DMV or when on the phone to your insurance company.
Car looks fun despite the hyperbole.

How about Niel Armstrong's 67 up for sale, and it's tough. He only had it for one year!........

That looks like forum member Livin's car. He also has been involved in the restoration of a 57.

I don't understand all the hostility towards a guy who is selling his car.

That is a CF member's car he's usually on here a lot. Lots of interesting comments to say the least. The car looks great and if he can get it what's your bother? Seems like a very well documented car with flares...

Neat car with good docs and history. May just be suprised at what it bids to. Very descrptive ad that will help with the sale. However, the part about an ASE certified mechanic was used to drop the gas tank made me chuckle.
At least is not vaque and full of untruths. I like it.

Nothing against the seller, more power to him if he can get that kind of money for it.
I had three thoughts when I first saw the listing, that's why I thought some of you guys might also find it interesting.
A) Cool looking old flared driver quality NOM '67, but bid to $70K?
B) What a very long and colorful listing (both figuratively and literally ), but at the end of the day it's still a flared NOM '67 driver, no?
C) It's at $70K and the reserve is still not met, how high could the reserve possibly be?
May he find the guy or gal out there who's willing to pay $100K+,
they must exist because we see them on Barrett-Jackson all the time right?

I really do not understand the hostility and criticism. This is a forum member's car, and in my opinion is being presented in an accurate and comprehensive manner. The comments in this thread suggest somehow that is not the case.
This a real, fully documented 435 roadster. NOM and flares aside, how many L-71's cars have this level of documentation? 1967 L-71's are probably the most counterfeitted muscle cars next to 1969 Z/28's.
