Hoosier Street TDs vs Goodyear Sports Car Specials for vintage racing?
I have a used set of Hoosier Street TDs but I have limited expierence and in the event of rain I am a bit concerned the Hoosiers wont bite. A friend is running Goodyear Blue Streak Sports Car Specials and they have a radial type tread and seem like a harder compound but I would like to get away with only buying one set of tires and I cant decide which to buy for my 58...
Has anybody run either/both? Advice? Heard anything good/bad about either?

AFAIK the Hoosier street TD is, for all intents and purposes, the same as their TD. I've run the TDs exclusively on my '63 and I can assure you they have no grip on a wet track.

I sure you will find that either tire will work well on a dry track BUT neither will work well on a wet one !! When I ran SCCA years ago a set of rain tires were what one used on a wet track. Dry tires on a wet track is like roller skating on ice covered with oil !!!

I am limited to Dunlop L-series, Hoosier Vintage TD, Hoosier Street TD, or Goodyear Blue streak sports car specials. It does not say much about a rain tire...
