Default Rare color combinations

Anyone have any data on the rarest C2 factory color combos (interior/exterior)?

Anyone have pics of their rare color combo?

Thanks!

Black on blue or green would be my guess. But we will never know. GM never kept that detailed records

Riverside Red with silver seats and door panels, red dash and carpets. I immediately dyed all the red stuff black.

According to the NCRS 1953-1967 Corvette Specification Guide there were a few C-2s from the 64-67 model year delivered in "special paint" or primer.

64- 24
65- 5
66- 11
67- 10

Anyone know anything about these cars?

How are you supposed to restore a car delivered in primer?

They only made about 1000 black C2s not sure sure how interior numbers panned out? But Blk/BLK is a pretty rare combo in 63. Was too hot in the days of no a/c.

Instead of saying "Don't think so" how about offering up some data to prove your point?

What was the motivation to offer new cars in primer?

Race cars or maybe promotions of some type?

Were some of the cars highly optioned?

In 1995 when my 63 ZO6 was in the Bloomington Gold Special Collection there was a 66 390hp roadster that had been originally ordered in primer and painted by the dealer in "Buick Riviera Turquoise." It was later restored back to primer by Ken & Gary Naber's.
This picture is a small part of a panoramic photo of the 1995 Special Collection.

In the same 1995 Special Collection there was a 1963 340hp Roadster Daytona Blue with a Red interior. In most pictures Daytona Blue looks like Black

I own a 62 and 63 Black coupe, both FI cars and yes a little warm in Florida.....and a friend had a 61 Black exterior and Beigh interior......True you may not see too many but I never thought they were rare....

There was a guy here in St Louis that had a Silver/Silver 66 Big Block Coupe. But I can't remember ever taking a picture of it.
