Default 1966 Fuel Pump Replacement

I replaced my 1966 350 hp 327 with a 400 + hp 383 with roller cam and rockers. Stopped at parts house today as I wanted to replace fuel pump. Found all kinds of listings. 300hp 327 one pump, 350hp 327 different pump, 67 327's different pumps.....what pump should I buy...do not want to go electric. My block is a 1973 with dipstick on drivers side.

I scored huge with the 327/350 pump from O'Reilleys......I had the wrong pump on my car and the one they ordered was identical to the pump listed for twice as much from Paragon and the other suppliers.....$47!

It might be a factor. What carb are you using? Dennis

The position of the fuel inlet and outlets at the fuel pump seem to be the largest discriminator in whether or not a pump will fit.

If your fuel lines are still oriented the same as with your stock 327/350 engine, get a pump for that.

This may help you out. I swapped my 327 for a GMPP crate zz383. We used a Holley fuel pump #12-834.

I just put a 770 Holly Street Avenger carb on. I have factory air car.
Did it have outlets or inlets in different place?
thanks for the tip

Mine is an air car too. Outlets/Inlets were the same. Made my own fuel lines from the pump up to the carb. Put an inline filter in it. I also have the Street Avenger carb. This shows a little of the plumbing.

The orientation of the pump that Mr. beck posts is very close to the orientation of the 300hp pump.....The 350 horse has them split almost 180 degrees of each other.....and it made it much easier to plumb the inlet and outlet in a straight shot.....I wasn't real hot on using a brass 90 degree fitting due to the restriction.
It is not to say the one he suggested will not work...I am just picky.

I will post a photo and get you a part # when i get home if you are interested.

I purchased the Holly fuel pump and it had almost identical outlets for my fuel lines. Works great and gives me more volume of fuel. Thanks for all the help and advice.
