Default F41 Special Front and Rear Suspension

On the 67 corvette they offered the option F41 front and rear suspension. How was this (F41) different from the factory stock suspension?
Thanks!

A quick search found this:

Yes - in '67, it was only available on L-71 and L-88.

Learn something new about these cars all the time....I just replaced mine (factory F-41 L-71) and did not realize there were two different lower mounts. I probably installed the incorrect ones.....

No big deal, they interchange both ways. One of the links in post #2 shows the difference. One is just beefier than the other.
(a John Z pic of course!)

The F41 rear shock mounts also move the bottom end of the shock inboard about another 1/4" to maintain clearance from the larger-diameter F41 shock body to the spindle support.

It is VERY close quarters with the F-41 shocks. Paragon only lists one P/N for each side, and those are the ones I installed (I buy everything from Paragon). I'd need to look back and see if the ones I removed were originals with any markings to identify them.

Original lower F41 shock mounts are part # 3829265 / 3829266 and the numbers are on the side of the mount.Wes
