Great event held in town of Elkhart Lake, WI which is about a mile from the track. Friday evening the vintage race cars fire up at the track and parade into town to park and let the people get an up close look. lots of noise - lots of excitement - lots of people - excellent excellent cars.
A corvette paced and a good number of corvette race cars were in the field. Hope you enjoy the photos.

That's a pretty cool event Very different. You don't get to see cars like that at your typical parade or car event. I'm sure they sounded great. Thanks for the pics.

Great pics! Must have been fun trying to cool all the race cars/Can-Am cars in a parade! Some really unique cars in that bunch.

Thanks to all for the kind comments - like said the cars are only travelling about a mile from the track and it's late afternoon (cars leave track at 6PM) and they do a phenomenal job quickly parking the cars - these guys have it down! As good as this, is on saturday when they have the Concours d'Elegance for Sports Cars - spectacular cars - not sure there are too many drivers in the bunch but extra coool cars. Here's some pics from that event and some images from the track - in my opinion the best road racing track in the nation.

Yeah, Elkhart Lake is a GREAT place, and the people are very friendly. We went last year when we ran the KIC (this year its the Hawk).
