Default 64 vette seat problem-question

Had new seat covers installed. The passenger seat is not lining up.
The seat cushion and seat back are about an inch off. If you look at the lines in the seat covers they are off. I've taken the seat back
for this problem. If you sit the seat in the floor and look at it from
the back it looks crooked. I wondering if the frams is backwards. Any
help from you guys would be appreciated. Thanks

When I had the interior redone on my '64, I just needed/wanted to redo the piping that had come away and frayed on the driver seat. (They can do that.) But the shop pointed out how far off the seams were off (they just didn't line up) from the prior custom Bubba install, that we decided just to redo them custom with new vinyl, and straight seams, entirely.

Maybe your were also redone with less than steller parts/workmanship and here's your chance to correct it.

Thanks for the reply. The drivers seat in perfect. I'll let you know
what I find out. I still think the frame is the problem.

Dose the seat work good with no rubbing? The hockey sticks may be bent. The seats are all the same left and right so there can't be any mix up. You may have to take the seat back off, remove the hog rings and the 2 seat adjusters and the chrome hockey sticks. Pull the cover over to line it up. Reinstall the hog rings and the rest of the parts. The only problem is, if it needs to go to far you may see the old holes where the hockey sticks bolt on. Even if the back was bent it should line up at the bottom, the covers were put on wrong, you see it a lot in midyear seats, not just 64.

Please post a pic. I do a lot of C2 seats so maybe I can help if I see a pic. When you get down to it there is only one way they can go on (the right way). Would really like to see a pic.

Default 64 seat problem

The seat works fine. I have it at the shop and called the guy
and told him not to do anything yet. Its several miles away and
I might be able to get a (PIC) soon. I plan to do what you said
and recheck everything. For some reason I think the seat back
in on wrong. It looks crooked sitting in the floor looking at it down
from behind. Even the back in the lower left side the material
is not flush to the back. I appreciate any INFO and the replys.
I have about a dozen more things to do and will be done, I think!
