The '67 and new paint finally see sun
I had some time to roll the car outside today and check out the color in the sunlight. It seems to go from deep red to goldish red, very pretty IMHO, unlike the muddier original Marlboro Maroon lacquer. Here are a few pics to share.

Your paint job is superb. Base Coat/Clear Coat is the way to go, I will NEVER use lacquer paint again. Any issues with bugs landing on the paint?

Thanks all!
It will have black interior with C5 seats with the head rest portion shortened and latch relocated to the side. As far as bugs, there are some in the clear coat that will get sanded out when cut and buffed. Thst is why I put three wet coats of clear on, to allow for wetsanding and buffing.

Looks fantastic. How many coats of color is that? Did you use a gold base like in candy painting? Color coat sanding? I know, I'm full of questions but I'd like to know the process for those great results.
