Default Are People that Desperate...

That they would pay $26k for this "project". I'm by no means an expert but it looks like it needs everything.

It was a thread here earlier... you probably could have bought it for $12 K last week.

It's a factory BB with AC and it's a 67. That is why some will pay that.

The options/drivetrain give it a chance, assuming that the owner can perform enough sweat equity to bring it back to life, but in general the most over priced cars in the country are these "project/barn finds", especially C2s with base motors and no options. Some of the pricing of these "finds" approaches cars that are running in average to good shape. A fool born every minute, I guess.

As someone once said: "some people know the price of everything, but the value of nothing".

Rotten frame, rotten birdcage, NOM and it needs everything. The new owner is going to be so far underwater when that car is finished, even if he does all the work himself.

There are those rare few that just love the challenge of taking a classic car that far gone, and bringing it back, themselves....

I dont think the engine is correct by the numbers......most of it appears to be visible except a hood.......lots of money for a basket case even though a 390 hp engine is with it and theres much more to be spent......

Oh hell a sizeable percentage of people here are likely underwater on their projects, who gives a rat's *** what the buyer does with their money?

IF, the market comes back and this car is worth say $150,000 we will all look stupid.
Most likely the value will fall between making him rich and losing his A**. Each to their own.
