Attorney General worked for me on a 53 a few years ago. Do you know a State Senator or Congressman or a State Representative? These guys can help get things done. I had help from a State Representative and got results.

Sounds like someone may have had the frame remnants, Pauly?????

I believe ChevyCraft in TX makes repro tags if you have a title. Maybe he got a repro tag made???? At any rate, not much help to you at this point.

Fight all you can, Pauly.

Pauly best of luck getting that mess straighten out. I am sure the buyer of the car from you is wanting this problem fixed so he can title the car and drive it. Is that how you found out about the problem? The guy who bought the car from you tryed to title the car and could not. Hope it all works out for you. Good luck my friend

I wish you luck as you work through this, I hope it goes easily. Sounds like you have a good title and the best chance at proving your VIN is the real tag. I would think the age of your title would be of benefit. Certainly lots of folks will be watching this, myself included.

well the latest news is after talking to texas DMV they said we have to have the police in fl. look at my tag then they can request the tx police to inspect the other tag . could be a typo on that title or it is a repro tag,if that is the case how do you prove the real vin tag ? I offered to buy the car back but the new owner loves the car so much he wont give it up

Paul at lease your car is real and has the real Vin tag on it, the first 029 that came to life was not even real and the Vin Tag was a repro and the guy even admitted it to people on this forum long before his tag was pulled or he gave it up. I am sure things will work out for you.

Actually, that's not really that bad of an idea, considering what Bill just pointed out.
