Default lost another friend today Ernie Coffman

I just found out that Ernie passed this afternoon of an apparent heart attack. He was 62. I knew him well, and learned a lot from him. Owner/founder of Coffman Corvettes. He makes reproduction convertible top frames, radiator supports, etc., for C1-C3 cars. He will be dearly missed. RIP Ernie.

RIP Ernie; He was Way too young. That is why you "live for today" You never know. We are all getting up there. Buy or modify the car you want. You only live once.

Yes -- way too young. RIP.

I'm afraid that this is going to be an increasing trend in our hobby...

Sad but true. When I was a member of the CTCI (Classic Thunderbird Club International) for 55-57 T-Birds, the average member age was probably close to 70. Every bi-monthly magazine had an obituary page.

Wow, I'm shocked, and sorry to hear about his passing.

I was just talking with him, at Corvettes@Carlisle. In fact, I had ordered a complete soft top assembly from them, and he drove me and the top, back to my spaces on his golf cart.

That is a sad sad surprise. I was just chatting with him at Carlisle. I will miss seeing him at the various shows that our paths crossed. His company was truly a family affair, and I will be keeping them all in my thoughts.

Sad news Ernie was one of us that started selling parts & Corvettes in the early 70'S. He is one of the guys that turned a hobby into a business.
