I started out ,swapping out the 383 stroker for the 327/300 I've been working on .
Then I noticed the trans leaking at the rear seal and the linkage was loose .
Now I'm going to put the heat shields on the exhaust pipes that have been missing .
OH , and the front calipers are leaking ,so I'm tearing them apart also !

Someone refered to it as "project creep" . I think I have a bad case of it .

now I've got the front calipers apart so I can rebuild them with the "O" ring style piston seals. The cylinders are sleeved so I think some 1500 grit paper will clean them up nicely . I think I'll paint the calipers with high temp paint while I'm at it . Also there is a shield that looks like it was once cadnium coated at one time . Do they make a high temp Cad paint for that ?
Any help and suggestions are welcome !

its the shield behind the rotor . Now that I look at it , i guess it isn't cadnium , probably just painted black.

The rotor splash shield was originally zinc plated, as was the caliper mounting bracket.
