'63 Split Window Coupe all orig....exc cond

Very nice looking car. No expert here but a 63 owner of a Nov 62 built car. Appears that the window cranks and door release ***** have been changed. Shifter ball is changed also. None of that would detract for me personally. Can't see the glove box door well enough to determine originality. Should be fiberglass. I imagine others will provide advice.

I think the chrome door handles and shifter **** were a common "upgrade" back in the day. I wouldn't give that a second thought.
From the limited pictures, I see many things that are correct on the car

Note how nice the headlight fit and nose are. The bumpers look very nice and straight as well. The car does appear to have an original glove box door and it just might have a real set of K/O's on it even though none were delivered from the factory with them. I agree with previous poster that I see many nice things on that car. It would be a good one to own for sure if it does not have any rust issues. Good looking car.

Nice looking split.
Looks like the original seat belts too! A not so easy to find '63 part...most especially in saddle.
Would love to see more pix. Trim tag etc.

Driver door fits too good. Car was redone, look close, may be a winner or cobbled. Need photos of engine compartment, shroud, inner fenders to see if any repairs were done correctly.
Check the leading edge of the roof as birdcage rust there will cause a wave in the roof panel.
Tons of variables.
Wouldn't care about ***** or knick nacks being changed, body is the most important part.

That car is an obvious repaint. Weather striping has been applied with way too much adhesive. KO wheels are not original; no '63 came with them from the factory as they had porosity problems with the castings.
A couple of critical pieces of information are still missing - pictures of the VIN plate and trim plate, and pictures of the engine and stamp pad.

No can do...so sorry. That's all I got. I was just there admiring. Not truly investigating and my post was strictly opinions. Thanks for reply and sorry I can't provide more.

Sorry all. I can't provide more info. My guess was that it was painted. John had no idea. I posted all the pix I had. Thanks all for all the advice. I learned a ton!
