'63 Split Window Coupe all orig....exc cond
Wondering if anyone has any idea the value of this car. Can provide pictures. Third owner....all original. One small chip in paint by antenna and one 1/4 " crack in paint where rear bumper meets chrome. Chrome all great cond. 64K miles....bought in 1999 with 59K approx. Owner bought as "toy" and doesn't have time. Covered. One small crack in interior leather (tan) on glovebox. Car is white. Can someone give me some idea - not even sure where to look or how to research. This guy doesn't know A THING about 'Vettes....(lol). He might be interested in selling if price is right....and I was just wondering.
Thanks in advance.....

The guy must know SOMETHING about Vettes as he purchased it and knows how much he paid for it at that time. Depending on how it was covered means it may have retained moisture in the steel parts of the car causing deterioration. With the information provided so far you could deduct $5,000 from the purchase price paid by the current owner as a starting point for negotiation.

You really have told us nothing to make any judgement call. For instance is it the First 1963 Corvette ever made? Perhaps the last?
Is it a Fuel injected car? A 340HP car? Is it a 4 speed, Auto? Does it have matching numbers? Are all the stock parts there? People will tell you its original and not have a clue it does not have the correct Master Cylinder. Is it rusted? is the frame straight? Has it been hit?
Is the rubber moldings all good? Is it the original paint? Does it have original steel wheels ($2K)? Does it have knock offs? If Knock offs, are they original (add $20K right there if they are ) PS if they were the originals produced in 63 then they would have been stolen by now
Get the VIN number and trim tag data (under the glove compartment door) and we can tell you alot about the car.
So you have to be far far more specific.

Here we go again, another all original survivor 63, with clueless owner who might sell. Sure are a lot of them out there. You'd think I might find one some day.

They are getting more like the 67 Black w/Red Stinger 435 hp roadsters. More of them out there now than GM ever built.

Ronniw, what people are telling you is that there are a lot of variables that affect value of these cars. Originality, which engine, what options, condition, etc. I would advise you that if you are seriously interested in purchasing a particular car, to get someone in the area, that is familiar with C2 (1963-1967) Corvettes to check over the car for you. Many of them will look great, and still have areas that need repairs or replacements that will not only devalue your purchase, but cost you more money than you counted on.

59K in 'Clinton dollars would at the current inflation rate of 'O,bomba dollars would place it around 120K with a base engine, and 175K if injected....better hurry too as the big Chief in D.C. with his so called mandate is getting ready to tax with both barrels......
