An annoying creepy creature found at car shows and other places where car folks gather, who knows "the book" backwards and forwards and delights in telling you that you have the wrong sticker, the bolts should be put in from the OTHER side, the factory didn't use that type of plug wire, and any other nit-picking thing they can find.
Can be dealt with in various ways, ranging from totally ignoring him to large doses of profanity!

the BB hood had been on my small block car since 1968
When people pointed out the were disappointed when they came up to the car and it was 'only' a small block, I'd pretty much tell them to go f themselves. I mean, the car is beautiful and I like it.
that is the prettier than another black/red stripe '67 in my book !

"Only a few left the factory this way. You won't see any of these in the Corvette books, It's a very rare combination."
- Phrase normally heard from someone selling the car, or from the new owner who heard it from the guy who just sold the car.

Speaking of rare! The rare one is the 65 in the earlier pictures here with part of stinger white. It was a one off prototype to test the market reaction. LOL!!!

it's not that rare... that hood was put on the car in 1968.
it never had the full stinger stripe, and at one time it was an air brush fade from the white to the maroon

you like, you keep YOUR way, book creeps as you say ...who cares what they or others think..by the way i am and have been for many years a ncrs member but can't stand the 10% or so who think they know everything and their &((& doesn't stink. and those who don't go by what ncrs says is right are not worthy of corvette ownership. my 2 cents and I prefer to admire all corvettes regardless of whether it is to my taste or not. by the way white looks great and should have been a combo.
