Default Texas hill country ride

Here's a short video of my son and I cruizin in the 61 on Thanksgiving Day. Beautiful day and the Beach Boys you can't beat that!

Nice little vid!

Did some winery tours on a great Texas Hill Country drive in my '65 some years ago with friends from Austin, and right 'round this same time of year in fact.

This being our first real cold weekend here in Toronto, nice to think of places where once can still enjoy the ride this time of year!

Unfortunately I experienced some camera problems on that return trip through Hill Country, but do have quite a few Texas roadshots from a bit west of there...

PS... Never mind the 454 hood badges or no bumpers. The 454 engine was there when I got the car but the Edelbrock SBC went in just before the trip. The bodywork was redone the year after, and no reason to hold up a good road trip!

......and I had my distributor all torn apart until about 10 last night. Dang it.

Hard to explain to people how nice it can be around here in November, specially up in the hill country. Thanks for a nice video post.

I'm so sorry, but I just do not understand why people want to ruin great videos with a bunch of crap music dubbed in!!!!!!!!!
The sounds of the Corvette would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better music to hear!!!
Without exception, EVERYONE always wants to ruin the sounds of videos of things such as P51s, B17s, steam locomotives, drag boats, race cars, etc, etc, etc. I just DO NOT understand it!!!!!!!!
How about you re-do it------------------WITHOUT the music!

For example, ever listen to the record that Zora made when he was driving an FI 61 Vette? Now that's what music sounds like!

...sorry, got to agree with Parsons on this one. I love the Beach Boys, but not when cruising in a classic. I want to hear the engine whine, the T10 gears shifting and the wind in what hair I have left!

Some people feel it is more important to drown out the following sounds by dubbing in a bunch of loud music, rather than to listen to the REAL music of the machinery!
WHY?????????????????? I'll never understand it! Why do a video of this stuff if you don't want to enjoy part of the sensation of hearing it?

Turn up the volume on all of the below to hear the music!
Yes, I took all these videos.

Nice vid, nice country for a drive.
In a C1 with the top down Tom, and especially with the camera sometimes held up over the windshield, you wouldn't have heard much Corvette at all, just really annoying wind noise.

That's exactly why the dubbed in music, the wind noise drowned out the offroad exhaust note and my son thought a silent video might not be as effective so he added the music. Anyway, for those that DID enjoy the video....thanks.
