Default Old Gas Pump I restored for my shop ( pictures )

I bought this old Visible gas pump at a garage sale several years ago and just got around to restoring it for the shop. Two stations in our town of Loveland Colorado used them when I was a kid. Shows my age doesn't it!!

Nice work. It would be cool if you took a pic of your '62 staged with the pump hose/handle filling the tank. Dennis

Very nice!!!! That's a work of art. I can't believe the prices they get for those old pumps.

I got the deal of the year on this one. It was all rusty and the globe was missing but it was at the Garage sale for $100.00!

Been looking for one of these for a while. You can't hardly find them in the East and when you do they are 1000's of dollars for rough ones...restored are north of $5k.

I remember going through the countryside in indiana canoeing as a kid and there was a "dumpy place" that had about 6 of them sitting out in the front yard with weeds all grown up around them.

Great job on the Gas Pumps! I can remember one of the marinas where we used to get gas for the boat had one of the visible pumps and he would pump the gas into the globe to the desired level and then dispense it by gravity flow. Course we had the old crank wall phones then too. Brings back lots of memories. Thanks for sharing

There's a small settlement about 2.5 hrs away from me in the mountains that still operates these pumps. They've had some hurdles over the years to keep them but they have succeeded. I had heard of them for some time but I had to drive up there to see for myself - there was a couple of miles of gravel ...
