Stumbled on this. Supposed to be designed by Chuck Jordan.
Anyone have details?

From looking at the picture(YUK!)...It looks like this putz is the owner of a Chevy car dealership (see the background). In any case, this is just WRONG!

Perhaps the original Batmobile. Looks like the hood may have been modified a little to support the velo stacks. That is one crazy looking car. It would be interesting to know the origin of the car and what was going on.

That picture was taken in the walkway between the GM Styling Lobby and the Executive Garage, with the reflecting pool/lake in the background; I was in that building almost daily in the late 60's-early 70's. That car (with mostly cardboard add-ons) was one of the occasional humorous distractions that were created when Bill Mitchell was out of town.
Chuck and I were among the founding members of the Motor City Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America in the early 70's, and when he was transferred to Opel for two years, he stored his Ferrari Daytona in a room in the basement of the Styling building while he was gone. When he returned, the first thing he did was to go downstairs to check on it, and the photo below shows what he found - the Studio folks had decked it out (in cardboard) as the world's ugliest J.C. Whitney-styled Ferrari; it took him most of the day to get over it and calm down.

Looks like a "bubba" job! I guess Chuck, whoever he is/was must have had some clout to store a furrin' car in a GM building. Dennis

So the next time someone digs up a photo of a heavily modified corvette, before pointing and laughing - remember it could be the off-color brainchild of the chief of GM design.

John, I must say again, I feel that we are most fortunate to have you with us. Your experience and your willingness to take the time to share with us, makes some sense out of so many seemingly senseless things. Merry Christmas ...
