Default powerglide info ???

I'd like to speak with someone who knows a little about a powerglide for a 63..
Are all 63's aluminum?
About how long is that transmission?
Are there any identifying characteristic about the trans?

Thanks
Jack

They are same as the passenger car, except there is a 6th plate and disc in the clutch pack to handle a little increase in torque. They are aluminum for the C2s.

I believe I may have saved this tailshaft photo from the NCRS TDB:

Here are some photos I had saved showing a complete '63 Powerglide. I believe I saved these from an eBay ad for a '63 transmission:

Thanks for taking the time to send these pictures, I really appreciate it.

Jack

I bought some engine parts the other day and there was an aluminum powerglide.....so I bought it also. I figured someone along the way would want it.

Thanks again
