Looks like it would be a fun car, hard to price though with a ZZ4, original diff and a powerglide...

Were power glides an option in '54?

Looks like it was done pretty well. Nice driver. Could have restored it with the correct drivetrain for about the same cost though.

Take out the ZZ4 and the seat belts and put back in the Blue Flame 6 cyl and then it would be a nice car.

I don't know, but I have been poking around other web sites for "asking price" of '54s. The asking price seems to be a lot higher for all I have seen.

I know asking price and sold price can be very different, that is why I am asking for opinions of others.

The Vert top should be Tan also. If you buy it and want the correct 6 Cyl Blue Flame for it let me know I may be able to get you one. It woud be an easy car to correct and put back original .

That's more along the lines of what I would expect.

If I were 'going for it' I think I'd put the motor back to original style.

But - these earliest C1s just don't appeal to me a lot.
Too Buck Rogers looking for my taste.

However, it certainly would be something to have to drive off the fiscal cliff next week.

Would have been tough to do since the 265 V8 wasn't available till 1955.

ALL.... EVERY ONE of the 53's and 54's came with a 2 speed powerglide.

The 3 speed manual wasn't available/offered till late 55.

For about 10K---12K+, you could "convert" it back to a Blue Flame 6 banger with all the goodies.

Chuck
