Default Radiator Flushing 59 vette

How often should you do this, and is there a brand of anti-freeze to use, and what would be the mix? Thank You

Depending on your use of the car, about every 2/3 years the flush and change coolant should do it. Prestone anti freeze is what I use , but there are other good brands available. A 50/50 mix will be sufficient.

I change mine ('67 SB) every 5 years. I use Zerex G05 antifreeze 50/50 mix. Use distlled water. When you flush you should remove the block plugs, one on each side low on the block. If you can't get to them, just run the water in via the thermostat opening and out via the water pump. You can do the radiator by it's self until it all runs clear. Put on new hoses/thermostat and your ready for the road. Others here on the CF will share their experience. Dennis
