Period Pictures of Cars...

My grandfather would buy late model salvage cars and fix and resell them. He once bought a trainload of C1 Vettes that derailed at the plant here in St. Louis. My grandfather would send my dad when he was a child out in the back lot with a sledge hammer to bust up old C1 and C2 carcasses!

So where is it located? That is a pretty cool old shop.
Your one post had "at the plant here in St. Louis" so is it in the St. Louis area?

Le Mans Master
After I left the mall, this 1968 Camaro had stopped at your garage and there were several old cars there, including a '55 Chevy set up and painted like the "Two Lane Blacktop" car with James Taylor and Dennis Wilson. I stopped and talked to a few guys for awhile and left. It was too dark to get any pictures, and the only pictures were from the mall.

I thought this was pretty interesting---photo shoot of cruising Van Nuys in 1972. Neat mix of cars. http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/25/autos/...les/index.html

At the same time in the Midwest, gas was around 25 cents for regular and 27-28 cents for premium.
And the best line in there was this:
"The thing that strikes me the most is that everybody in these pictures -- these wonderfully beautiful young people -- they're all 60 years old or older now," McCloskey said.
