Default Speedo Gear: How To...

I need to change the speedo gear in my '66. I have the plastic gear, trouble is I do not know how to remove the existing gear. Do any of you have photos or videos of how to remove the old gear and replace it with the new gear?

Take off the Speedo cable...
undo the the small bolt with keeper...

twist and pull the large part the cable was screwed onto...
do this slowly and the gear is inside that part..

reverse procedure....be careful...put a little grease on the plastic to hold in place as you put it back together...

Thanks guys, but I admit I do not know what the Speedo Cable looks like, where it attaches to or what it looks like. That is why I asked for photo or video.

On your '66, the speedo cable connection is on the passenger side of the transmission tailhousing - looks like the photo below.

Thanks JohnZ for the photo. I understand things better when I can see them.
