Repacing '67 Clock Bulbs
From the passenger side can I remove the side dash panel and get to the clock bulbs? Or does the glove box need to be removed to get to them?

depends on how much time you want to spend....vent panel is one way...and I have found the glove box gives more room ..pull the light housing I think they may be 2,,,replace the bulbs and the hard part to find the hole and then it snaps in place..

Here is a photo of the back of the clock on my 67 looking inboard from the access panel on the passenger side of the console. I was able to undo the clips and remove the clock using access through the console panels only. Although I could get my fingers on the bulb holder I was unable to remove it until I pulled the clock from the dash.
Now I am a big guy with pretty big mitts. I would think that somebody with smaller hands might be able to get a good grip on the bulb holder through the access panel and remove it without removing the clock or taking out the glove box for more open/better access.

I replaced my bulbs a couple of days ago, I just removed the passenger side panel and reached up there with my hand to find the bulbs, there are 2 pulled them out replaced the bulbs with leds. I could not see any thing so I used my finger to find the hole and pushed it back in. It only took about 15 min. to complete.
I you remove both side panels you could remove the clock clips and pull out the clock to get to the lights.

Did you also replace the single bulb under the clock that illuminates the 4 ***** for heater controls and radio??
And the bulb in the radio face itself?
Thanks All!

I got them from superbrightleds.com The have a bulb finder at the top of the web page to look up by vehicle. I also called them for info.
I have not replaced the one under the clock yet. I did the dash lights and the clock so far. I just ordered the footwell lights.

I just received my bulbs from superbright LED although I believe I'm using a different bulb than daveh.
I ordered the 6 LED 360 degree bulbs.

I plan on doing a before and after with the clock tonight. Here is the stock "yellowish" bulb compared to the 6 LED bulb.

Dave - How were the dash bulbs to change? Did you pull out the dash a bit or do them with the dash in place? Can that be done?

Here are two photos of the clock using only one light bulb. The first is using a 1892 bulb
And this a photo using one 6 LED 360 degree bulb.
And since I have the dash out, I tried one LED light in the battery fuel gauge section
and one in the oil pressure water temp gauge section
I think these are going to be the way to go, but I haven't seen any other LED light installations to compare them too.

Scott I think they about the same. I can read all of my gauges now. I would like the gas gauge a little brighter and I will try a 7 led bulb to see if make any difference. My original bulbs 1816 did a ok job a lot brighter then your top picture but not as good as the leds.

Scott you ask if I am replaced the heater **** light I just drove it tonight all the dash light are fine as I said it is a litte dark in the outside of the fuel guage but I can read it. I am going to change the heater light next so the color matches. I do not like the Yellow color it is not white like the leds.

I just did mine and they dim fine - no mods required. You can test yourself buy using a standard 9v battery and see the difference with the brightness, its lower
Mine dim perfectly with the stock rheostat in the light switch.
