61 Wheels and Tires refresh
Finally got around to doing my wheels and tires.
Pulled all of them off and had them blasted and repainted.
Was able to get all the stamps off the inside and the date codes on the 4 on the car are 3 61. and the spare is 4 61.
They all came out good. with the new paint and the blasting made them real nice no pitting at all.
Also got another set i am going to put diamond backs on . and keep the bias on the original wheels and spare.

I keep two sets for my 62s as well. One set painted black w/whitewalls and full hubcaps, and one set body color w/blackwalls and dogdish caps. Both look good, but I prefer the dogdish look.

I don't know the brand or code for the paint, but I know it is lacquer. The car was painted about 1980. I purchased the car in 2008 after sitting in a garage for 25 years without a cover.
It took a lot of hand rubbing and polishing to get it looking as it does today.

Can't beat Honduras Maroon; of course I'm a little biased...
