Great project!
Great Question! I've change my mind so many times I've lost count. Evod makes wheels like that. 1st pic below were on their facebook page and are 20" that give the illusion they are 17". I'm not sure if those are one off or not but I would never put 20's on anyway. They also make a wheel called turbine which is the green Corvette in the second picture I pulled of the internet. Those are 17" but they will make them from 15"-24". I'm also looking at Schott Octane or Velocity. Wheel Vintiques makes a ralley wheel I've looked at too. I'm very undecided at the moment so I'm open to any other ideas. I know I don't want to go bigger than 18".

I like the wheels on the green vette too. I wonder what's involved in making the spinners attach?

n/m - went to the Evod site and saw they come with it. Nice.

Default update 8/11

Here are some more pictures as the project moves along. Many cracks and small imperfections have been fixed and it is now in primer.

Here are the C5 seats being fit. The brackets were cut to lower them as close to the floor as possible. The headrests will be shaved when the seats are reupholstered. I'm 6' tall and it felt like I had good head & leg room with the seat all the way back.

I don't know if these are the same valve covers but I ran across them researching motors:

The motor has been dropped in and now all the misc. pieces will be fit. Everything will be out of the way as much as possible to give it a clean look.

Here are a few pictures with the custom filters I had made from Bills B Racing.

At this point the A/C unit & new Detroit Speed wiper motor have been mocked up. The wiper arm shafts have been cleaned and repainted. A custom SS throttle bracket and cable was made to match the look of the motor. Mocked up the engine harness and found places to mount the computer boxes. Mocked up the master cylinder. Electric break assist will be mounted down on the frame.

They look great. Are you using the Speedway motors stainless manifolds? If so what is your impression on them?

The workmanship is impressive, to say the least! Very nice. Hope you will actually drive it when completed; if not, keep it in the living room as a piece of automotive art!

Yes, those are Speedway stainless manifolds. I think they look fantastic. Mike showed me a set he had at his shop and after talking to him about it I decided to go that route. I'm not sure if there is any difference in HP vs shorty headers but these looked a lot nicer in my opinion.

This is what i call one great looking engine
Looks like the engine compartment is going to be just as good lookin as well

Are you going to paint the engine compartment in the same color as the car?(i think that would look absolute great)

Thanks! I am going to paint the engine compartment black. I wanted the focus of someone's eye on the intake and othere misc. details that are polished. I am not going overboard on too many polished things either. I want to spend my time driving it and not worry about cleaning.
