Hurst for my 63?
I have a 62 340hp 4speed Borg Warner . My Early 63 fuelie has a Borg Warner too. My 62 has a hurst shifter that really works good. I have seen 2 or 3 on ebay for the 62 but all the 63s (hursts) are for muncies . My question is will the 62 hurst work in my 63? The hurst (62) is the bent short shaft style. 864-380-4796 or dcrocker316@gmail.com

while i can't be absolutely sure, i believe it will; the transmission is the same and the shifter mounting position on the tailshaft should be the same.... so, it should work

As I recall, the Hurst shifter for a '63 has a reverse lever that has a 90 degree bend to clear the crossmember. If a "62" shifter has this feature, it should work.
I believe you'll need to buy an install kit specific to your trans and vehicle, though.

Hurst shifter
Any one out there ever put a 62 hurst on a early 63 , both having a BW 4 speed. Thanks for your quick response . Also does anyone have a 62 shifter I could try. Probably need linkage too. Dave 864-380-4796

The stock B/W shifter is the same way. One year only.
