I went through a time when Nhra thought that I was cheating with my injected dragster in 91 & 92. Now you see more injected nitro than blown cars. The first real indication that the rear gear and ground effects were really making a change was at Bakersfield , when we rented the track with snake ,Bernstein, ant the Jordan bros. Snake flipped his dragster, and sent it to uharas to get fixed, we lost the tunnel , Don enriquez was off the pedal for 2 seconds and still broke the national record. At the world finals the first round it ran 5.77 almost 254 mph, they were silent on the speaker. Later Blaine Johnson said the car flew by him I think he was 5.99 221 mph. With 250 lbs of lead on my car and Nhra chaseing it with magnets at Denver I sold it.
