Default Trying to identify a FI unit

Can any of you guys identify which year FI unit this is via sight alone? The fellow selling hasn't been able to find any numbers other than:
1) One bracket is #17308 (63-65?), and,
2) The control diaphragm cover is #7014781 (yr?)
It's been sitting around on the wrong car since at least before 1981. I'm assuming it would be expensive to refurbish but probably some value there? Haven't been able to put eyes on it yet, but, possibly this weekend. Hints on where else to look for identifying stampings greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
PO

Definitely 63-65.

From what I can see, I'd say it was/is a 1963 unit.

There should be a small black tag on the driver's side... toward the front. The tag is riveted on. It will say 375, 375R, or 380 in the "model number" area. 375 is a 63 unit. Early 64 is/can be 375R. Mid/late 64 and 65 should be a 380.

If it has a cranking signal valve in/on the front of the fuel meter, it's definitely a 63 unit, and the configuration of the lines on the top of the fuel meter leads me to believe that is the case.

Chuck's hunch is correct.

It's either a '63 unit (7375 model) or an early '64 unit (7375R). They look identical (because they are), differing only in the presence of the "R" stamping on the ID tag.

Thanks guys. I'm wondering if the ID tag may have been missing. Surely the seller could have seen that.

Anyway, any idea on value? Assuming one could get it up and running correctly? It was put on a '69 sometime in the '70s.

Can't tell from the pictures if the tag is present or not. While there is no doubt what the unit is, if curious, have the seller look on the front, left (driver's side) of the plenum for the tag or for the two holes for the rivets which retained it.

Value varies with condition and completeness. I don't like to put a value on another person's stuff, but I'll go out on a limb and venture $3500 - $4000 if complete and nothing is broken. It's worth more if it includes the distributor ($1000++) and base plate ($500 - $700).

The FI unit can be made to work well. That is not in doubt. There are several honest and competent rebuilders around the country, three of whom frequent this forum. There are also a few you'd do well to avoid.

Jim is exactly correct. It is a 63 ONLY (or very early 64) FI. There are a few fine detail differences between the 63 and 64-5 units. But properly rebuilt and setup, that is among the best FI units available. If I were looking for one to put on one of my cars, I would have no hesitation to own that one (for the right price of course).

much better 'drivability' than the C1 units...
