2015 C2 of Year Finalist
What ever the vin number says it is. That's the model year of the car. Body panels are easy enough to change and is not against the law to swap around unlike the vin plate

Strange this car is for sale again in just a couple months after Jeff said it was sold to a nice guy who would be using it as a driver and not a racer. This dealer sells a lot of high end resto mods.

I like em all. That C2 regardless of year is about as good as it can get.
I was glad to see all the photos. First time for me.

I'm considering turning the backup lights on my '67 Coupe into a third brakelight; it's not like I back up much at night anyway...

This car is a 63 rebodied as a 67. That does not detract from the performance or appearance of the vehicle. The person that purchased it decided it was not for him. This car is not for the faint of heart. It has decent street manners but requires constant attention while driving. I was privileged to pilot this car and completely understand the concentration needed to safely enjoy this car on the street. It isn't for everyone. I hope the next owner enjoys the car for its quality and performance as it was built. If I had the funds it would never have made the trip from Jeff's driveway to anywhere but my own.

I don't disagree with anyone on the bases of quality of build and taste of design of this car. It is a dream ride.
My point is that this very car was represented as a 1967 Registered & Titled. No one has yet explained the lie ? There are plenty of re-bodyed cars out there (I almost bought a 66 as such) Never seen a 67 re-bodied as a 64 ? For this kind of money ..... I want the Vin to to say it's 1967 & have dark fiberglass . Everyone with a real 67 can appreciate the counterfeit, but it's fiat currency's definition .

Drive what you love man, I'll restomod a purely original 64 Coupe, my silver one. There is no real reason to rabadge the loovers, but there are a few cars out there like that. Its actually kind of common the more I research C2's You will find one pretty much every place you look for a sell if you look enough.

If its registered wrongly I would throw flags out in my buy, could be a scam at some point. Then again it is a beautiful ride...only a real C2 guy would even know the difference!

This car is so far removed from what it was originally whether it be a '63 or a '67. I would think anyone looking to spend the amount of money it takes to buy a car like this knows what they are buying and is not otherwise concerned. You have to take it for what it is....a handcrafted master piece.

Funny, I bought a 66 Shelby from them last week and actually sat in 1coolC2 without knowing it was 1coolc2 . Nice car! They were trying to figure out why the clutch was so stiff, so they had it in the mechanical section of the facility. That place is quite impressive and all of the cars I looked at were top notch appearance wise. They had several corvette restomods. Apparently they mostly take cars on consignment, so maybe the new owner is just testing the waters to see if he can make a few bucks.
It looks to me like RK motors did a good job of describing the car and representing it as a 63 with a 67 sermersheim front end. They were very honest and knowledgeable and I enjoyed my experience with the company and the time i spent with the staff. They take a 500.00 deposit to hold a car and if you don't like it after you look at it and go for a 30 minute test drive, you can walk.
